Dear Parents

May I take this opportunity to thank you for taking an interest in Crumlin Primary School.   In what is seen as a natural development of our inclusive ethos, our school has been granted approval by DENI to change the status of the school to Crumlin Controlled Integrated Primary School from 1st September 2010.  As the only truly integrated primary school in the greater Crumlin area we welcome the entire community and celebrate our individuality and diversity.

We hope this prospectus will help you gain an understanding of our ethos and  our vision for integration in our school.  It is characterised by tolerance, respect for others and a high standard of teaching and learning. 

Children are at the heart of our school.  All staff working in the school provide a safe, friendly environment, in which our children  are able to grow in confidence, to learn and to develop to the best of their abilities.  We welcome children of all abilities, of all faiths and of none.

Parents are recognised as the prime educators of their children.    We encourage a positive partnership approach between home and school for the benefit of our children.  Parents are encouraged to become involved in school life in a variety of ways through voluntary activities, P.T.A. or as Governors.

As part of enrolment procedures all new pupils and parents are invited to tour the school, meet staff and pupils and are provided with any information needed when they visit.
